Soccer Camp is back! This time we’re going to gorgeous Camp Soles, a family-run camp ground in Rockwood, PA (near Somerset/Ohiopyle) approximately 75 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. We’ll be staying in well-maintained cabins each with their own bathroom and brand-new showers in the lodge a few steps away. Each cabin sleeps six to eight people. There is a large, beautiful field, an historic lodge/mess hall and many other amenities, including a gorgeous lake, a climbing wall, hiking trails, paddleboards and a covered outdoor area with a projector screen perfect for watching classic women’s soccer games. Check out the photo album here.
Register here at Dynamo Soccer by Sept. 3, 2021. https://www.pghdynamo.org/Default.aspx?tabid=927227
So why is this the Fitness and Chill edition? It’s because this camp is nice enough to invite non-footy friends to come just to chill by the lake, read a book and hike during our games. Then, we can all convene in the evening for healthy meals by Camp Soles Chef Juliann and then drink wine around the camp fire. Locally sourced and delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the $300 pp price. We’ll be updating you all on other potential daytime activities run by the Camp Soles staff.
First of all, fun! Also, friendship and camaraderie, lots of great workouts and skills/drills and some friendly competition, all in the Dynamoms spirit of sisterhood cheering for everyone’s wins and joyful play. This weekend is about YOU, so no kids are permitted. You can check out photos from Soccer Camp 1.0 here.
COVID protocols: Please make sure that you’re fully vaccinated for your own safety and the safety of others. We will be in lovely cabins that each sleep six to eight people, but we'll plan to keep them at no more than 50% capacity. Being fully vaccinated is imperative for the health of everyone at camp, especially your bunkies. The staff at Camp Soles are all fully vaccinated.
As always, we work to keep costs to a minimum so that as many people as possible can come out to play and have fun. We need 25 players to break even. Once we hit that number, we’ll be able to add additional fun and surprises to this women’s only fitness and chill footy weekend! For questions email Kitty Julian at [email protected].
