Pittsburgh Dynamo Youth Soccer is pleased to sponsor a series of recreational soccer clinics for women over 30 who would like to learn how to play soccer or improve
their soccer skills. By sponsoring these clinics, Dynamo hopes to encourage more women to get involved in youth soccer as coaches and referees, and even just kicking a ball around with their kids.
If you over over 30 and have little or no adult soccer experience, then Dynamoms may be for you! Absolute beginners are welcome. And you don't actually have to be a mom. Come learn how to play
soccer safely, get some exercise, and have fun! Since Fall 2013, Dynamoms has run fall and spring outdoor clinics and winter indoor clinics.
Dynamoms was featured in a May 21, 2014 Pittsburgh
Tribune-Review article and in a Fall 2014 Shady Ave magazine article.
Dynamoms clinics are taught by experienced soccer coaches. These 90-minute sessions are designed to help participants learn and practice basic soccer skills and rules
of play. We also do cardio exercises and stretching to promote fitness. We spend the first half of each clinic on skills development. We play scrimmages during the second half of each clinic to
practice skills and rules of play in real game scenarios. We start with the basics every season, so even if you have never played soccer, we encourage you to sign up!
Dynamoms participants should wear shin guards with soccer socks, athletic shoes or soccer cleats (outdoors only), and comfortable clothes. Any comfortable athletic shoes will do, but many of our members prefer turf cleats (for example, the Adidas Mundial Team Turf Soccer Cleat is available from online retailers and is very popular). Please do not wear any
jewelry. Bring a water bottle and a size 5 soccer ball. We play our winter indoor season on a wooden gym floor, so wear gym shoes, running shoes, or soccer
shoes designed for indoor surfaces (no cleats).

Dynamoms Pickup Soccer
We love playing soccer, even when it is snowing and we all have to wear masks and stay 6 feet apart due to COVID. If you would like to join us for some friendly pick-up soccer at Schenley Oval (usually on Wednesday evenings or Saturday afternoons), please email [email protected]
and ask to be added to our pickup email list. We are also planning an adult woman's overnight soccer camp in June 2021 and will distribute information about that on the pickup email list.
Spring 2021 Season is On!
Our spring 2021 season is happening Saturdays 12:30-2 pm on the Schenley Oval turf from April 10 through June 19! We will have 90-minute educational clinics led by coaches in which we will first warm up and spend time on skills exercises and then scrimmage. We do not offer partial registrations, but we understand that you may have to skip some sessions. We will play in light rain but will cancel if there is heavy rain or lightning. Masks will be required at all times and we will emphasize skills such as passing where we can stay further apart.
To register, login to your account (or create a new account) and click the registration button. The registration fee is $100 (including a $3 service fee). We are not ordering new shirts, socks, or headbands this season, but we do have some shirts still available so email [email protected] if you would like to purchase a shirt.

Join us for Dynamoms Soccer Camp June 24-27
Register by June 1, 2021! To register, login to your account (or create a new account) and click the registration button. The registration fee is $220 (plus a $3 service fee).
For the first time ever, Dynamoms is organizing an adult women-only soccer camp for players and their friends. The goals of the camp are to strengthen our friendships and our soccer skills, to scrimmage and socialize and have fun.
Who should attend: The camp is limited to people who identify as women and are age 21 and up. Femme, trans and cis women are all welcome. Leave the family at home! We are here to get away from our kids and have fun. Please no partners unless they identify as women and are playing and paying. All levels of soccer skill and ability are welcome.
Location and accommodations:
The camp will take place at Racoon Creek State Park
, which is approximately 45-minutes by car from downtown Pittsburgh. We’ve reserved Group Camp 2, which has 48 rustic wood cabins. Each camper will have her own private cabin (unless you and your friends decide you want to bunk together). Accommodations are not fancy in any way.
Meals will be catered: We’re here to have fun, not cook and clean, so all meals will be catered by Sprezzatura
, a women-owned restaurant and catering company in Millvale. They’re making special off-the-menu items for Dynamoms. Breakfasts will be simple (yogurt, granola, fruit and coffee). Lunch and dinner will be family buffet style: think fancy salads, grill/BBQ with vegetarian options.Desserts will be provided by our very own Erika Bruce of Le Beau Gateau
. Everyone will be expected to clean up after herself. You can help us cut down on waste by bringing your own mug, plate, bowl and utensils. Meals will be served in the large mess hall, which is just for our group. Please bring a camp chair so you can eat outside. If you have food allergies, please let us know.
We'll arrive Thursday evening 6-8 pm and socialize around the campfire. Please eat dinner before you arrive. Friday and Saturday will be filled with soccer skills/drills, scrimmages, socializing, and some free time to swim, hike, nap, or relax. We'll check out by noon on Sunday. If you don't want to stay over night you are welcome to come each day and take your meals to go. The fees are the same whether you stay over night or not and include the park rental, coaches, meals, snacks, and a few surprises.
